Under the influence of the globalization process, separate countries’ boundaries have a less significant role than it was in early last century. Domestic developments are more or less subject to foreign countries’ influence. Various countries’ information spaces overlap through use of television, the press and Internet. The available information forms citizens’ particular attitude towards the events, processes and facts. The society ethnic integration issue in Latvia is not just the domestic policy matter anymore. Since regaining of the state independence, society integration problems have drawn a considerable attention on the part of international community, thereby raising their foreign policy importance. International attention has been expressed in various forms, to a high degree influencing the society integration processes in Latvia.
