The Centre for East European Policy Studies has started a new research project on the Russian economics. The aim of the project is to raise awareness of the economic situation in Russia and its impact on Russia’s domestic and foreign policy, including relations with the European Union and neighboring countries.
The project is due to end in March 2020 with the publication of a collection of analytical articles. It is developed through an interdisciplinary research approach and involves an international team of political, economic and communication scientists from Latvia, Russia, Lithuania, Poland and Germany.
The co-editor of the study will be economist Janis Hermanis. Such well-known political experts as Vladimir Milov (Russia), Dmitriy Oreshkin (Russia) and other researchers will work on analytical articles.
The conclusions of the study will be discussed in the final discussion. Experts, politicians, officials, foreign diplomats and media representatives will be invited.
The project is being implemented in cooperation with the Friedrich Ebert Foundation and the European Commission Representation in Latvia.
