Māris Cepurītis

Chairman of the Board, Director. Holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from Rīga Stradiņš University and is currently working on a doctoral thesis. Has more than a decade of experience across public service, academia, and policy research. Served as the National Security Advisor to two Prime Ministers (2019–2024), contributing to national-level policy coordination and security decision-making. A lecturer at Rīga Stradiņš University since 2011, his professional background also includes tenure at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Latvia in the UK. Current research focuses on Russia’s hybrid activities against Europe, including information operations and other instruments of foreign policy. He is also a member of the Foreign Policy Experts Council under the Minister of Foreign Affairs and serves on the Board of the Latvian Transatlantic Organisation.
