We offer to read the latest article by Andis Kudors, Executive Director of The Centre for East European Policy Studies – “The Regional Security of the Baltic States: Challenges and Solutions”, which has just been published in the collection of articles, published by the Latvian Institute of International Affairs, – “The Riga Conference Papers 2018: Security of the Baltic Sea Region Revisited amid the Baltic Centenary “.

A. Kudor’s article emphasizes that the main challenges of the Baltic security are time and distance. As Russia’s military forces are located near our borders, the challenge is to ensure the rapid arrival of allies in a crisis situation. And since 2014, much has been done in this respect, the author of the article points out.
