New CEEPS’ Research Is about to Be Complete

darba_sem2Second workshop within the research project “Russian and Belorussian Economical Presence in the Baltic States: Risks and Opportunities” was held this September 19 in Riga. The project participants – researchers from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Russia – exchanged their opinions on interim conclusions in their sections.

The research scientific editor Andris Spruds chaired a discussion on various aspects of the regional countries’ economic interaction. Along with the “pure” economic study, the involved in the project researchers seek to answer also to methodologically more difficult questions such as “what is the political effect of economic presence of Russia and Belarus in Latvia?” Answers to these and the other questions will be publicized in a book at the beginning of year 2012.
